OWH Sketch #179 Challenge

Another Sunday, wow, where does the weekend go?  Operation Write Home's Sunday sketch challenge comes via kathrynscards.  Kathryn's card was inspired by a previous
Sunday sketch, tweaking it along the way.  Best wishes for a great week.

OWH Sketch #178

Good Morning everyone, wow, summer life sure does get in the way of card making.  I hope everyone is staying cool, today we are supposed to hit 104!  Best wishes for a great weekend.  This past Sunday's sketch at Operation Write Home was pretty easy, given that if you had a couple complimentary papers, the work went pretty quickly.  So quickly, I actually made two different cards, a first for me!  i turned the sketch sideways to use a long horizontal sentiment.  I think this could be a go to sketch.

OWH Sketch Challenge #176

Wow, is it ever hot!  It just seemed like the other day we were wishing the cold would go away.  Spring skipped us and we went straight to blazing!  The weatherman says it's going to be 104  tomorrow, yikes!

This week's sketch over at Operation Write Home was so fun, I think I set a new record for me, less than an hour!  Albeit, I did have a few interruptions.  I just love all the cool 6x6 pads everyone is using, the smaller scaled prints are just fabulous.  I did tweak the sentiment shape, hated to cover up the neat ruler print.  Well, keep cool and enjoy, it'll be freezing before we know it!

OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge #175

Good evening everyone.  The last several weeks have just flown by!  As of this writing, our son is on his way to his new home in San Antonio, TX, to begin his life as an Army anesthesia resident.  Medical school was gone in a heart beat.  I'm several weeks behind in the sketch challenge department, so it's time to catch up a bit.

This week, Operation Write Home honors the life of one of our fellow card makers, who gave so much to the organization, but passed away recently.  I invite you to read about Jean E. and  her wonderful contributions to our heroes.  I love the clean and crisp sketch, designed by Jean.  The photo brightened up the green solid cs, it does match closer to the hello dp than it looks in the picture.  Best wishes to all for a good week ahead.

OWH Memorial Weekend Blog Hop

Good morning everyone, hope it's the start of a beautiful weekend.  The Anderegg Family has a new "family" physician, Dr. Tyler Anderegg! Along with becoming a doctor, he was promoted to the rank of Captain.  Our family is so grateful to those who've helped to support and shape our son into the young man that he is.  We cannot say thank you enough to those folks as well as to the young men and women serving in our military, making accomplishments like this possible.  Thank you!

I'm a proud member of Operation Write Home, a non-profit group who makes blank greeting cards for our military heroes to send back home to their loved ones.  This weekend we celebrate and thank those who serve and protect!

Operation Write Home MWT x 3

Good morning everyone, hope it's as sunny your way as it is here in Western Colorado.  This week is a special week for the Anderegg family, as our oldest child will graduate medical school this Friday!  His life long dream of being a doctor, an Army doctor at that, will come to fruition.  I've been creating alot of thank you cards for my son, so that he can thank the many wonderful folks who have helped him along the way.  This week's Midweek Throwdown at OWH challenges us to do things in three.  As they say, good things come in threes!  Enjoy the rest of your week, I'll catch up real soon.

NSD OWH VCMP "Kids with a Sketch"

Back for a second card this "holiday" weekend.  I love making kid cards, so I couldn't resist Paula's Challenge to make a kid card, using a sketch as well.  I have an unofficial goal of eventually using all of Operation Write Home sketches (171 and counting).  I dug deep into the early sketches and am trying out #22.   Although a bit simple, I like it for kids.  Best wishes for a great week.
