Color Theory: Part II

It's so great having a whole day to myself!  Being somewhat new to OWH, I took on the challenge to make all the sketches.  Even though I started this last summer, there were a few interruptions!  Here's today's Boot Camp Color Theory  using  Sketch #135 (sort of!) in nature colors.

Boot Camp: Basic Color Theory

Happy MLK day.  I took the day off, a rare Monday to indulge in my hobbies.  The only thing better would be warm weather and planting my garden.  Second  best, making cards!  Today's challenge offering from OWH is color theory by Paula.  I tend to go with very bright colors, so I challenged myself to use a muted analogous color scheme.  Hope it's a good day for all, card making or not!

OWH Sketch Challenge #156

Good evening all.  The bitter cold has taken a toll on our neighborhood.  Two different neighbors had water pipes freeze, one even burst and flooded their family room.  I spent the morning cooking warm beef stew for the neighbors, as well as thinking summer.  Warm...hmm... I used today's OWH sketch, turned on it's side, with thoughts of warm July weather, hope it's warmer where you're at!

Whew!  I'm almost caught up! (Except for #151, the mojo hasn't hit yet).  At any rate, I absolutely love today's sketch, so versatile.  I love holiday themed cards, especially bright, cheery ones.  This card just makes me smile.  How about you?  Best wishes for a great week.

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #152

Even though the ground is covered in snow, we are blessed with very bright, sunny, albeit cold days.  I combined cold snowy blues with sunny yellow paper to brighten up my day!  Hope it brightens yours.
