Happy Memorial Day everyone!  I'm so excited to, once again, be part of Operation Write Home's Annual Memorial Day Blog Hop!  The only rules are to use red, white and blue and to use one of the OWH sketches.  I so love this weekend, lots of great cards with equally great inspiration!

I also love this weekend, as we all take time to remember our fallen heroes and active duty personnel for all the sacrifices they have and will make for our country.  We can't thank them enough.  A special thank you goes out to my son, Captain Tyler A, MD for his medical service to our veterans.   So without further ado, I'm off to hopping, have fun everyone!

Missing You: OWH Midweek Throwdown

Happy late night everyone, just a quick card, and an even shorter post for this week's Operation Write Home's Midweek Throwdown Challenge.  The day just flew, but I couldn't help but participate.  My husband thinks I'm addicted!! LOL!

A Sea of Browns and Blues: OWH Sketch #224

Happy Mother's Day everyone!  After a quiet breakfast out, and a lull before my young, adult daughter makes dinner, I was able to sneak in a little card making time.  This week's sketch over at Operation Write Homeis perfect for scraps and perfect without a sentiment.  This sketch is also great for this month's Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge, one which challenges us to use embossing in one's card.  So without further ado, here's my take.  Best wishes to a grand Mother's Day and a week ahead.

Miss You: OWH Midweek Throwdown Florals

Happy hump day everyone and happy Midweek Throwdown over at Operation Write Home.  This week's challenge is to use flowers in your card.  Well, I'm a big country gardner, but I rarely make floral cards, usually just at Mother's Day or Easter. So… I gave it a try, but I still tried to keep it more neutral rather than feminine.  I also aimed to be a bit more CAS, but I failed!!  I really love layers, LOL!  Well, best wishes for rest of the week.

Thank You: OWH Sketch #223

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope it was a beautiful one.  Life is getting back to normal, now that all the wedding festivities are over.  The kids never looked so beautiful!  I've included a few photos at the end of this post.  So… back to card making!  I dedicate this week's sketch over at Operation Write Home to the many folks who took part in the kid's wedding.  Just like the card, lots of details, all coming together for one great end result!

Catching Up: 222 & MWTD

Happy Thursday evening, or maybe it's TGIF for some.  Well, almost a week ago, the day finally came when my son and daughter-in-law were wed.  Wow, time flies.  Soon, I'll post a few pictures but for now, I'm trying to catch up a few sketches and midweek challenges!

This week's sketch #222 over at Operation Write Home just spoke leather jackets and belt buckles to me!  Weird, but that's what I saw, so I tried to recreate a black biker jacket look, and… it coincidently, fits this week's midweek throw down challenge:  Masculine:  Thinking of You.  Black and Grey definitely say guy to me!  Yo, Adrienne!  (Rocky, eat your heart out!).  Well, here's to catching up.  Best wishes for a great weekend,
