Hero Mail: Midweek Color Challenge

Happy hump day everyone!  It's that time again, another great midweek challenge from Operation Write Home.  This month, we're making Hero cards and today, we're to use red/white or kraft/blue.

I'm a relatively new card maker, only two years in earnest.  Well… when I started, I collected tons of ribbon, only to find I didn't really like working with ribbon!  So… I been trying out ideas to use up a portion of my huge stash!  I love the simplicity of this design, and it's great for a Hero card.  Well, off to make more cards and use up some ribbon!  Thanks for stopping by.

I don't know about you, but I have lots of patriotic ribbon!

As you can see, I bought lots of ribbon, in just about every color way!

Ribbon:  dollar bin from Michaels!
Dies : All from Spellbinders
Sentiments:  Computer generated

  1. LOL! I too started with lots of ribbon and hardly use it now! I LOVE how you've incorporated the red/white/blue ribbon into the design and have inspired me to pull out my r/w/b ribbon stash :) Great cards!

  3. Simple and cute! That's a great way to use ribbon. . . and like everyone else here, I seem to have plenty of that to go around. Great card. TFS

  4. Cheryl, What a great way to use ribbon -- and I love how the sentiment pops on each card! Thanks so much for playing along with this Midweek Throwdown challenge.
