Good evening, I think it's still evening. A fun, long weekend camping kept me from getting to this week's sketch, but I was very excited to see Paula's latest installment in
Design Bootcamp, Her topic today is back on color, but this time, using color in the right proportions for the best visual impact. So being one not to let a sketch go by, I also combined my color card with
this week's sketch, 181, and I tripled up on the latest
Midweek Throwdown making masculine cards. Whew!
I used 60% tan/brown, approx. 10% navy and 30% red
I've been thinking of this red, tan and blue combo for a while now, especially with the thought in mind of using the burlap. Burlap is so in right now! I'm a bit partial to the burlap right now, as my son the "young doctor" is engaged and I had the honor of making his and his fiancé's Save The Date announcements. They just went in the mail last week! A bit involved, but a labor of love. The kids are having a country wedding next April. She's from Georgia and we're from Western Colorado (farming and ranching). I'm really pleased with the result.
