I used a piece of sturdy garden netting as my "stamp", inking up the entire surface. I chose a medium valued card stock and a slightly darker value of ink. I then placed the cardstock down over the inked netting, rubbing gently to transfer the pattern. It's subtile, but adds that tone on tone dimension (just like quilting).

Oooooo, I never would have thought of garden netting! This looks great! The background is subtle, just the way I like it! The paper patterns are all so complimentary and the dark layer really makes this a striking card!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card. The garden netting makes such a nice background -- and your color choices are terrific -- so bright and cheery! The idea of matting the circles is great -- gonna have to give that a try. And, the tiny strips of brads are the perfect finishing touch.
