OWH Sketch Challenge #148

Happy Sunday to all!  Another very sunny day here in Colorado.  My family gave the nod to Christmas music this morning, giving me mojo for Christmas cards and this week's sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home.  We haven't had any snow to speak of, so maybe this card will bring it on!  Here's to more card making while I watch the Broncos kick tail!

OWH #147 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning, I hope everyone had a great Turkey Day.  We had both our young adult children home for the holiday, as well as my son's girlfriend.  I'm stealing a few quiet moments before all get up, to catch up on posting!  I may be jumping the gun on holidays, but this week's sketch look perfect for a St. Patrick's Day card!  The cute digi circle can be found over at Chickabug.  Have a great day everyone.

OWH #145 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning All.  Wow, where do the weeks fly?!  I'm happy to say I've kept up with the sketches, unfortunately, I'm just now getting back to blogging them.  So.... before another sketch gets posted,  here's to catching up!

OWH Sketch Challenge #144

God's Blessings to those on the East coast.  My Denver son is visiting out in Maine, via D.C. after interviewing for a anesthesia residency program.  He was to come home Monday, now it looks like at least mid-week.  Just as I pray for his safe return, I think of our heroes and pray for their safe return as well.  This week's challenge is dedicated to all our military heroes.

OWH Midweek Throwdown: Celebrate Friendship

Hi everyone.  This week, Operation Write Home challenges us to make friendship themed cards.  I bought some wild, brightly colored card stock a few months back, and was stumped at how to use it.  The idea of solid colored strips in varying widths came to mind, thus, the thick and thin! I recently developed a embossing "fetish", so I just had to add depth to the strips as well.  Hope you enjoy!

OWH Sketch #143

Good morning everyone!  I'm a new aunt (multiple times over) as my "baby sister" is a brand new momma!  In celebration, I incorporated this week's sketch into a birthday card.  Happy Birthday Ella.

OWH Sketch 142

Happy Sunday!  It's a beautiful day here in Western Colorado.  We are grateful for a fall rain storm that "buzzed" through our area this weekend.  The rain is gone, leaving everything watered, crisp and clean!  Today's sketch inspired me to create something just as crisp and clean as the rain.  Best wishes for the rest of the weekend.
