Happy hump day everyone! Today's
Midweek Throwdown over at Operation Write Home is to use dry embossing in your card. I'm a huge fan of dry embossing! I'm also a fan of searching the net for great ideas used by our card maker friends. I love to CASE cards, especially when I don't feel the mojo or time is short and I still want to make cards. I recently saw this card by Linda over at
Paper Cutting Kind of Day. She has this cute card made with symmetrical embossing and brads, how cute and CAS! I added my little spin to her card by creating a raised matted center panel. I popped up the pastel one on dimensional foam tape and kept the b/r one flat. Thanks Linda for the inspiration.

Great cards. I love that embossing folder. The brads and hearts add so much to the whole look of the card. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea to focus on a part of the embossing! I love all those heart brads!
ReplyDeleteWow nice job on the focal point. Love the cards and your idea. TFS!
ReplyDeleteI just love the small embossed section as the focal point of your card. Great layers. I too, will CASE cards when I"m looking for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWonderful use of the brads. I love seeing stuff like this, because I never think about doing something like it (until after I've seen it done). TFS!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute cards! What an excellent idea for this embossing folder. I just love how you cut it down and added so many fun embellishments.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the best use for this embossing folder that I've ever seen! I absolutely love what you've done with both of these cards!
